WHO IS JONATHAN BLAKE?
Jonathan Blake is Jonathan Tinkle, founder and chief fashion designer of Jonathan Blake LLC. A native of Houston, Texas, and the product of successful entrepreneurial parents, Jonathan began sketching designs for women's dresses at the age of 14. He launched Jonathan Blake in 2012 at the age of 21 and introduced 27 elegant women's dresses and skirts for his spring 2013 collection.

Inspired by Chanel, Valentino and Versace, Jonathan Blake's designs are timelessly "wearable," classic, and elegant for women of all ages and sizes. All of Jonathan Blake's pieces are made in Houston of natural fabrics sourced from New York City, Europe and Asia.

"I believe that all women are beautiful, and I want to help them look and feel their best by delivering 'show stopping' pieces with classic lines. I am launching Jonathan Blake now because I come with a belief that if we have a dream, we shouldn't wait to make it happen. Our dreams will never come true if we don't take action. I am 100 percent for supporting everyone in pursuing their own personal dreams whatever they may be and this is my dream. So why would I wait? This way, I'll be much more established when I'm 40!" Jonathan explained.

Before pursuing his passion for fashion design, Jonathan began studying acting and modeling with Page Parkes Talent in Houston. He completed The Tenney High School in 2009 and enrolled in the Art Institute of Houston at age 18. It was there that Jonathan brought one of his sketches to life in the form of a custom-made, black cocktail dress fitted for and modeled by his sister.

Shortly thereafter, Jonathan left the Art Institute and devoted all of his time and energy to planning the launch of Jonathan Blake as a full-fledged fashion design company. He plans to expand his women/s collection by adding a men/s line, accessories and fragrances in the future.

Jonathan supports numerous artistic and charitable organizations such as Justice for Children, Children at Risk, Virtuosi of Houston, Houston Ballet, Dominic Walsh Dance Company, The Brilliant Lecture Series, Helping A Hero, The Contemporary Arts Museum, Arthritis Foundation, Halo House, and The Krewe of Little Rascals Mardi Gras Parade.

When he is not designing and producing beautiful clothing for beautiful women, Jonathan enjoys meeting new people and experiencing new places through travel. Among his favorite destinations are New York City, Hawaii, Panama, and The Bahamas.

"I believe that traveling is essential to my career development as it influences my perception of the larger environment and it provides fresh inspiration for my creativity," Jonathan said.
